Serving hospitality

My husband I were invited by our American friends for dinner. This was our first dinner with church friends.It was beautiful time of socialising and learning about each others cultures.Also that feeling of belonging and feeling welcomed as at home yet living as strangers in this foreign country was overwhelming.

Throughout the course of the meal , I discovered no matter where a woman is ,her struggles be it in the kitchen etc,her happiness for her children are quite alike in many ways.

That dinner was an eye opener for me.When we open our houses to someone.we also open up our hearts to them.We give them a sense of belonging. A sense of home.

This year it has been my resolution to invite newly made friends home.I can think of nothing that can be more welcoming than opening my home .
