Winning a sister/friend by losing an argument!
I was reading” The Pastors Wife” by Sabina Wurmbrand,when this particular incident caught my attention.Sabina Wurmbrand was a wife of a Pastor,she was imprisoned in a communist prison for her faith.In Prison there was this woman,praising and hoping on a wrong higher Official, even though Sabina knew this Official was not deserving of such an adulation.She Kept mum and didnot voice her own thoughts because she wanted that woman not to lose hope.
This got me thinking,How many times are we ready to be gracious to our fellow sisters/friends than ready to prove ourselves right?
I will be honest in saying I wasn’t.Sometimes I just had to speak my mind out.I mean the number of topics these days are countless,Stay at home moms to working moms,breastfeeding moms to bottle feeding moms,Work full time to work part time,Homeschooling to Regular Schooling,Religious to Non Religious,Disciplining to Freehand,etc.
May we always be willing to win a sister/friend by losing an argument.
May we be encouraging instead of wanting to be right!
