Pepper Chicken with a Twist
So this is our take,on the ‘traditional pepper chicken’ recipe which will leave you wanting for more..
1-2 cinnamon sticks an inch
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 Onion finely chopped
3/4 Tomato finely chopped
2 tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp coarsely crushed pepper(adjust according to taste)
5 curry leaves(adjust according to taste)
2 to 2 1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 Green Chili(adjust according to taste)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 kg or 1/2 lb Chicken
1.In a pan,heat oil, sauté cardamom,cloves and cinnamon for a minute.
2.Add and Sauté onions and green chili until onion is well cooked
3.Add and Sauté ginger garlic paste until the raw smell disappears.
4.Add and Sauté tomatoes until tender
5.Add coriander powder,turmeric powder,pepper powder and saute for a minute.
6.Add the chicken,stir it will ,so the chicken gets well coated.Cover and cook between low to medium flame for 12- 17 mins
7.Add the crushed pepper and cook for an additional 3-5 mins or until chicken is well cooked.
