Date Night Receipe:Cajun Chicken Pasta – Fathers day special’s

My husband is a big fan of creamy pasta’s .And hence this pasta is a go to recipe at our home.
After many variations of this same recipe on the internet ,I’ve finally tailored it to make one which is easy to make with fewer ingredients


1/2 cup green bell pepper chopped
1 clove of minced garlic
1 cup mushrooms chopped
1 cup boneless skinless chicken pieces marinated in Cajun powder,1 tbsp lemon juice,salt and pepper for an hour
200 ml amul fresh cream
300 ml water
1- 1 1/2 cups of macaroni pasta
1/8 cup creamy Gouda cheese.
1-1 1/2 tbsp of butter
1 tsp Italian seasoning(you can find this in Nilgiris)
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)


1.In a saucepan cook pasta according to directions.
2.In a pan heat butter, sauté the chicken for 3-7 minutes until tender and juices ooze out.
3.Remove the chicken from the pan.
4.In the same pan with the oozed out juices sauté bell pepper,garlic,mushrooms and the chicken and cook until the mushrooms are well cooked takes 10-15 minutes.
5.Add the fresh cream and water,bring to boil .
Immediately simmer over very low flame for 20-25 minutes until the sauce thickens to desired consistency.Keep continually stirring to avoid sauce from getting burnt.In the last 5 minutes add gouda and thoroughly mix it in.Switch off the flame
6.Now add the pasta and parmesan cheese and get ready to enjoy this creamy pasta.
