Book Review: The Argumentative Indian by Amartya Sen

Amartya Sen is a Nobel prize winning economist.And hence I was interested to read this book ,the book consists of his essays and his exploration on India’s past and present.
I grew up in a very tolerant household where we were encouraged to think, question and talk different ideas .Even though Mr Sen holds a very different world view from mine, I much appreciate his way of putting forth his thoughts and views.
I really found this book of great interest and how it explores the culture,the thought process , problems in Indian sub continent with factual data and statistics ,past solutions and possible solutions.
All in all a great book for those who like to read about India and to have a deeper understanding of India
