Book Review: Literature: Heart Of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
Recommended: Young Adult, Adult
I got reading this book since I wanted to read from a viewpoint of the trading posts in Africa. The story is said from the view of Marlow who makes his way to Africa in search of the company’s chief accountant Mr. Kurtz. The story follows his journey, the sights he sees ,the plight of the people , the plague and change of men as they adapt to a different environment. In a way we are what we are ,while we are very good at masking who we are in the face of different types of company. This is a very dark book from a very different world view and hence its not very hard to get shocked by the thought process and the outcomes.
