Book review INTRODUCTION : The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
One book series that truly intimidated me for I have no idea why. Some days there are very weird baseless mental blocks.
However last Lenten i took up reading LOTR and was very glad I did.
Series Overview :
Tolkien wrote the LOTR during world war 2, when the Axis powers a small Britain and an extremely weakened France were putting a brave front against a technologically well advanced and powerful Nazi Germany which was tearing everything in its way , the main plot of the story deals with a very powerful and evil regime which wants to take a totalitarian control vs a weak opposition who do not appear to have the capacity or the strength to oppose this powerful power. The story is about bravery and standing for what is right even when you know your the only one standing.
