Book review: English Literature : The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy
Recommended : Young Adult and Adult.
A book that I found more hard to finish because of its emotional aspect . This to me was more emotional than Jude the Obscure.
It is the story of honest woodsman, Giles Winterborne and his childhood sweetheart, Grace Melbury. It details their life and them choosing character over charisma , preconceived notions and where their lives head toward forms the main plot of the book. I love the realism of Thomas hardy this novel reminds me much of Adam Bede however without the same outcome.
