The story is about the making and unmaking of the Mayor of the Casterbridge Michael Henchard. A beautiful story of alcoholism, hot headedness, anger, jealousy ,love and betrayal. With a bit of familiar relationship like David’s with King Saul. A book with heart wrenching dialogues, sweet and bitter.
