Book Review: Devotional: The Confessions of Saint Augustine by Saint Augustine of Hippo
I was prompted to read confessions because it belongs to one of the church fathers Augustine.Written between 397-400 A.D
I highly recommend this book highly to anyone wanting a deeper walk . This details Augustine’s life his birth, childhood, education, career, friendships and his conversion to Christianity. A highly intellectual person well educated had a deep love for enquiry ,philosophy and learning .Gives his reason why he believes in what he believes in. though his mother was a faithful christian, he came to faith slowly in gods time.
She was godly woman who prayed without ceasing for the souls of her husband and son.
He explains Who man is , who God is, who Jesus is and what he achieved. The god of impossible who pursues in his loving kindness a rebellious well educated man.
