Shipwreck Casserole

Yet another jewel from our church receipe book

1 lb ground beef
1/2 green pepper
1 small onion chopped
1 tomato
12 oz tomato juice
2 t soy sauce
1/4 lb mushrooms
8 oz sea shell macaroni
3/4 cup grated cheese
1 Green Chilli(optional for spice)
salt and pepper

1.In a pan heat oil.
2.Saute onions and green chilli until onions are tender 3-5 minutes.
3.Add beef and cook until brown and loses all redness.
4.Drain excess oil and add tomatoes, tomato juice,soy sauce and mushrooms,simmer this mixture for 1 1/2 hours or until thick.
5.Cook Macaroni as per package direction.
6.Add to the sauce and mix well.
7.Add half of the cheese reserve other half for topping.
8.Pour into a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
9.Bake at 350 degrees until cheese melts.
