Mondays!A Fresh Start!

I Love Mondays! They truly are my favorite day of the week.To be honest I look forward to it.So that I can get back to my routines. One of my favorite chore is cleaning my house.Your probably thinking WHAT!!Cleaning the house!Again I don’t want to look like a saint/perfectionist for this remark,to be honest this chore is scheduled only for Monday,If you were to visit my house on friday you’d probably see bits and pieces of Gold Fish(Snack) lying strewn all over the place. But Monday’s I love to gear up to just wipe the slate clean. And enjoy the feeling of living in a freshly cleaned house for a week and then the process goes on and on.The Similarity of how it feels to forgiven by god strikes a note on me.

No matter who or how we are,no matter what our faults there is always hope and new Chance with god.

I know I’m not a perfect wife or mom.I have my angry days when my fuse has gone on Mr.Wise and Dash without no fault of their own.I see them both always willing to give a second chance despite my many shortcomings, failures.I see god forgiving me as I acknowledge my short comings .

Thank you god for being a god of Second Chances.Theres always another week to be better.Theres always another week for me to have a fresh clean sheet.

As a coincidence, I got to read Jonah as a part of my reading, which is a book about second chances.Insight on Jonah – Jonah was a prophet sent to warn the town of Nineveh to turn from their wrongdoings, the people repented and thwarted god’s anger on them.
Jonah 3:10 (NKJV)
10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.

Jonah 4:1,2,10 (NKJV)
Jonah’s Anger and God’s Kindness
4 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. 2 So he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.
10 But the Lord said, “You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. 11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left—and much livestock?”

I m always in awe of this loving god ,Who is a god of second chances!
Blessings!!
