The Plot: The story begins in a town called Maycomb. A white lawyer who defends an African american man who has been accused of Rape. The story is told from the view of Atticus Finch’s young daughter Scout(Jean Louis) Finch. The story portrays the innocence of children and the rejection of the family by their neighbors and friends. My favorite character in this book was obviously Atticus who is an ideal hero on integrity, honor and parenting.
Learning and age: Excellent for moral learning and covers about some real tough subjects like racism and Rape which is presented tactfully and respectably.Good for grade 10 and above
