A bit of a dry book in my humble opinion. Deals with how the long forgotten emperor Ashoka was discovered during British India . And the various ways they were waylaid in their quest. Thankful that we have discovered him and learnt a lot about his life. And how a once warlike Maurya embraced the way of peace. His beginning and his end. For the most part this book details the journey of the archeologists .
