Schedules

Last week for some reason I was bored out of my wits and was running out of ideas to entertain my little boy, thats when I realised I need to get organized. And the best way  to get organized is to get a schedule.I m a methodical person and love schedules.Schedules keep me sane and empowered.Once I started listing down, it brought lot of things like new learning opportunities and reminded me of the forgotten or neglected ones too :).

This is what works for me:

I got my planner out.

I have a schedule:

1.For my day:
Eg.8.00AM- J wakes up
9.00AM – J has Breakfast
9.30AM-11.00AM – Self Play/Activities

2.For the books I read to my son:
I pick out 2 books and read them throughout the day before his naps.
Eg.Brown Bear brown Bear & Dr.Seuss ABC

3.For Games and activities  I plan out.
Eg.Pom Pom Stuffer &
Shape Sorters

4.For all the nursery rhymes I would sing.
Eg.Wheels of the Bus &
ABC’s

5.For the mandatory activities I want to do everyday.
Eg.Reading the abc book or Go out for a walk.

I will however say I like to mix and match activities or books if my little boy is bored or doesn’t want to do them. The schedule to me is more like a guideline and not a fixed plan of action.

With my son his schedule changes with every milestone. He just lost a nap,my schedule is still evolving.I like commit it to the lord for he alone directs our days.

Proverbs 21:5 (NKJV)
5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,
But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.

Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV)
15 Be very careful, then, how you liveā€”not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Blessings!!!
