This is a bit of a very distressing book . The books from the viewpoint of utilitarianism and materialism rather than with humanity and relationships . The story begins with a salesman Gregor Samsa, who wakes one morning to find himself inexplicably transformed into a huge insect who becomes incapable of being a contributing member in his family and shows his changing dynamic with his family .Truly an excruciating book and a good book to discuss with family . In many ways this isn’t so unreal especially when it deals with situations relating to elderly parents who need help.
